Iiyama Base is a tourism and accommodation service provider that helps international visitors explore the Shin-etsu region of Japan. Our main goal is to promote the area's natural beauty and culture by creating and arranging genuine, high-quality travel experiences all year round.
In the winter, we're all about the snow! We cater to people who love skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and even backcountry touring. When the snow is gone, we switch gears and lead awesome hiking and cycling trips. We're all about making sure our guests have a great time, no matter the season.

Shimizu Sanso- our historic lodge can accommodate up to 28 guests in private double and triple rooms. Guests can enjoy the terrific dojo game room with billiards table, ping pong, darts, and more as well as our traditional Japanese sitting room with kotatsu and our western lounge with comfy arm chairs and sofas.
